SPTKLib.a and anything else DevC++ related on SPTK website belongs to the old SPTK version, 2.2 or something like this. I'd not suggest you using it. DevC++, AFAIK, uses MinGW or at least, their site tells so. So in order to use DevC++, you have to have MinGW even that you're on Windows. I'm not sure if DevC++ includes automake/autoconf, but other than that - it's just GCC on Windows + IDE. I really suggest you to try Cygwin part of SPTK howto. If you're missing some programs like aclocal, autoconf, etc - then install Cygwin, and make sure you mark them during the installation. Then, just follow howto, and it will build you several .a files. You'd have to link most of them to your porgram in DevC++. Alexey 2006/12/4, UN PEP <infounpep@yahoo.com>:
Actually, I used DEV C++ to install the SPTK package. In DEV C++, there is an option to install packages. Then I just installed from there. I did not use any MinGW(Cygwin) as I'm using Windows XP.(But later it will run on UNIX server (or) standalone) I want to know what does the SPTKlib.a as i saw in your site's documentation http://www.sptk.net/docs/devcpp/index.htm I thought we need SPTKlib.a to compile the SPTK with FLTK in DEVC++. As you mentioned in your web site, we can download ready-made SPTKlib.a as well as create own SPTKlib.a. But i did not see any ready-made SPTKlib.a for download. And is this SPTKlib.a compatible for all versions? (I mean can i use it in my SPTK version 3.3?) When i compile my test SPTK project, I got some warning message that i need to link with SPTK libraries. I need to put the library file project linker option. If you have no idea about DEV C++, can you please pass to somebody who knows SPTK and DEV C++ very well? Thank you. --------------------------------- Access over 1 million songs - Yahoo!
